By India Today Web Desk: At least four workers suffered burn injuries due to a transformer blast at Vedanta Electrosteel Plant in Jharkhand's Bokaro district. The injured have been admitted to Bokaro General Hospital while one of them who suffered 85 per cent burns is stated to be in critical condition.
The accident took place at the MRSS sub-station of the Electrosteel Plant. Several workers associated with L.B Engineering contract company were doing repair work in vacuum circuit breaker when a sudden strong flash triggered a transformer blast, injuring workers.
All the labourers are residents of Bengal.
Meanwhile, a fire department team reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
Chas CO Dilip Kumar accused Electrosteel plant management of negligence.
