Jun 24, 2023Harley-Davidson India has officially announced the X440, their most affordable motorcycle, for our market. On July 4, 2023, this brand-new motorcycle that was created in collaboration with Hero MotoCorp will hit the Indian market. In advance of the India debut, we outline what to anticipate from the new Harley-Davidson X440 here.
An up-close look at the production-ready motorcycle was recently offered by the Indian division of the American two-wheeler manufacturer. This future Harley Davidson takes styling ideas from the XR1200, as can be seen in the pictures. The design features a retro-style circular indicator, a single-pod instrument cluster, a flat handlebar, a side-slung exhaust, and a round headlamp with integrated Harley-Davidson branding.
The complete name of the new motorcycle has been placed on the fuel tank with 3D logos. The official pictures only show one possible colour. But we anticipate more paint choices at launch. The Harley-Davidson X440's multifunction switchgear is also seen in the most recent pictures, and we may possibly see other amenities like Bluetooth connectivity.
The motorcycle's name and the displacement are indicated via the branding on the fuel tank. The new photos show an oil and air-cooled, single-cylinder configuration, despite the sparse details. The displacement will probably be close to 440cc. The brand's earlier pictures had shown a redline of 8,000 rpm. In light of this, the motor in this motorcycle will probably have a longer stroke, which should help it produce good low-end and mid-range torque. The output numbers should be close to 30 horsepower and 35 Nm.
The Harley-Davidson India photos provide a look at the motorcycle's components. For example, the front forks will be positioned upside-down, and there will be two rear shocks. Both ends of the vehicle have disc brakes, and the safety net is believed to include a dual-channel ABS and a side-stand engine cut-off feature. This device will also include a fully digital instrument cluster and full LED lighting.
The new Harley-Davidson will be unveiled in India on July 4, 2023, at Hero's technology centre in Jaipur, as was previously reported. In India, this motorcycle will compete with models like the Honda H'ness CB350 and the Royal Enfield Classic 350. We anticipate that the new X440 will cost somewhere in the Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom) price bracket.
