Most Durable Weapon And Shield Fusions In Tears Of The Kingdom

Aug 29, 2023Aug 29, 2023

Going through your weapons too quickly? Here are the some of the most durable fusions possible.

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you can conveniently repair your equipment by tossing them at Octoroks, yet also discover incredible weapon and shield fusions that ensure long-lasting durability. While most fused items provide a standard durability bonus of +25, it's essential to have a solid foundation of weapons and shields that not only offer impressive fusion power but also possess exceptional durability.

By using a strong base weapon before attaching additional items, you'll ensure that your fused creations stand the test of time and deliver maximum impact in your battles, extending the lifespan of your favorite weapons and allowing you to enjoy using them for longer in-game.

Venturing into the Depths beneath Hyrule, you'll encounter mischievous shadows brandishing their ordinary yet pristine armaments, a stark contrast to the worn-out swords Link discovers on the surface. The underworld presents a myriad of exciting activities, including the thrilling pursuit of capturing poes, which can be traded to the bargainer statue in exchange for exclusive armor pieces and unique items.

When it comes to fusing, attaching anything to a regular weapon promises greater durability compared to fusing it to a deteriorated one. During the early stages of the game, exercise caution when relying on decayed weapons, as their fragile nature may leave you defenseless in battles.

The Zonaite weapons labeled as Strong and Mighty not only pack a punch when attached to Zonai devices, but also offer greater durability compared to their standard counterparts. This ensures a longer and more enjoyable experience while exploring the various Zonai devices available for fusion, such as combining a Zonaite Shield with a rocket to allow Link to soar skyward at will. Another excellent combination is attaching a cannon to the shield, creating a sturdy bazooka that Link can wield.

What's even better is that the boost from Zonai weapons isn't only from Zonai devices, but also from items like Flux Construct Cores, Construct Horns, and other parts salvaged from Zonai enemies. However, we strongly advise against equipping the time bomb device, as it poses a risk of causing Link to explode upon impact.

During the early stages of the game, the majority of your fusing endeavors will involve humble materials such as sticks, stones, and other basic resources. Not only do they serve as the best foundation for your weapons in the beginning but maintain their usefulness as one of the more durable bases you can fuse any item to.

When you begin your journey, you'll find that rocks and amber inside caves make for the sturdiest and most effective attachments. Amber specifically is extremely durable whilst giving you +4 attack power. As you progress, you'll have the opportunity to incorporate even more potent components, like Lynel Horns or Dragon Parts, resulting in an immensely powerful spear that allows you to keep a safe distance from your adversaries.

Completing the main Zora quest takes a good while, but the weapon reward is well worth it. The Lightscale Trident can be forged by the blacksmith after finishing up with Prince Sidon. The blacksmith does require three diamonds and a piece of flint, making it a very valuable piece of weaponry.

The very requirement of three diamonds hints at the extensive power it holds, and its durability is nothing to scoff at either, making it only of the stronger boss weapons in the game. Link can further enhance the Trident by fusing additional elements such as even more Diamonds, which will add the 25 attack power, or a hefty Gleeok Horn. On top of that, the entire weapon's attack power is doubled when wet.

After taking down a Stone Talus, one of the several loots you can pick up is the Stone Talus Heart. Although the rocks and several other ores in the game can make for strong fusion components, the heart of this boss is among the most durable.

Attaching the heart stone to a Sturdy Stick or better yet, Sturdy Long Stick makes for a great way to excavate ores from caves as well as clearing rocky paths that block your way.

In his main quest, Link will eventually venture to the Korok Forest seeking the Deku Tree, in hopes of restoring the Master Sword to its original state. The Master Sword is unbreakable and does not need repair. The only catch to the sword is that it requires a charge to unlock its full potential.

With two full rings of stamina, Link can pull the Master Sword out of the Light Dragon's head. When fusing the sword with any item, the charge duration will extend along with adding to the 30 attack power the sword has.

The Hylian Shield is the well-known legendary shield wielded by our hero of Hyrule, Link. Although the shield is breakable, it has the highest durability rating (90) of any shield in the game, and it is repairable and replaceable. Cece in Hateno Village will help you out with a replacement while the usual Octorok will be the best method of repair.

A doubled-up Hylian Shield will be the best possible protection you can attain in the game. Any fused shield can serve as a suitable backing for your Hylian Shield. However, keep in mind that with this fused shield combination, you will need to continously replace the secondary shield while preserving the Hylian base for a resilient defense.
