Driver flees after overturning car, hitting telephone pole in Buckingham

Troopers are looking for a driver who ran away from the scene of a crash early Wednesday morning after overturning their car and hitting a telephone pole on Neal Road in Buckingham.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Mercury Grand Marquis was traveling south on Neal Road, approaching an address north of Clover Drive at around 1:30 a.m. The car traveled off the roadway left, entered a ditch and overturned. In doing so, it collided with a telephone pole.

After the collision, the driver ran away. Anyone with information regarding this crash is asked to call *FHP (*347) or Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-8477.
