Erebus to build Supercars chassis for rivals

Oct 31, 2024Oct 31, 2024

EREBUS Motorsport is set to branch out by offering chassis builds to rival Repco Supercars Championship squads.

V8 Sleuth understands at least one team has already agreed to take on Erebus-built chassis from next year.

Previously, teams have tended to be supplied by Triple Eight or Pace Innovations, either in the form of a full chassis or a bare bones kit to self-assemble.

Renowned Erebus fabricator Jimmy White is based in Mount Gambier, South Australia, and the precision of his work was credited as being a contributing factor in the Chevrolet outfit’s dominant 2023 championship campaign.

Erebus rolled out two brand-new cars for 2024 and after a drama-engulfed first half of the season, returned to the winners’ circle this month in style with the Brodie Kostecki-led #1 Camaro victorious at Bathurst and the Gold Coast.

White/Erebus was also called on by Eggleston Motorsport to spearhead the repair job on Kai Allen’s Super2 Holden following a pair of Bathurst smashes.

The #1 Coca-Cola Commodore was sent to Mount Gambier and will be back in action at the upcoming Adelaide decider, which Allen will enter with a 42-point deficit to Zach Bates.
