Nov 05, 2023Incredibly Clever Cat Uses a Toy Fishing Rod Just Like a Human
That cat is better than we are!
We need to start giving our pets more credit because they truly are very smart creatures. They can pick up on commands, tricks and even human hobbies like hiking or skateboarding, which you’ve most likely seen before. But there's a new cat on the block that picked up something we’ve never seen an animal do before and it's unreal.
TikTok user @braindamag3d left a toy fishing rod out on the floor, a favorite among cats. But instead of waiting for her owner to play with her, this cat decided to use the toy herself. The creator wrote in the video, "I think my cat might be human," and we couldn't agree more. Check it out!

O.M.G. How in the world did this cat learn to hold a toy fishing rod like that?! We’ve never seen anything like this before, which is probably why the video has already reached over 8.6 million views in the first few days of being posted. No one has seen a cat use a fishing pole before!
"They’re evolving," commented @s.araph. Cats picking up on all our habits is just the first step toward their long plan of taking over the world. LOL! @__sleepypasta added, "One small step for cat, one giant leap for catkind." Exactly!
Another TikTok user, @smileyfries._, wrote, "Give her boots, a cape and a hat." It's the least the owner could do for this fishing prodigy. She needs all the proper gear if she's going to take her skills to the next level. LOL!
