The Progress
The Moapa Valley Chamber of Commerce will host its annual membership drive on Friday evening, March 24. The mixer this year will be at the Moapa Valley Senior/Recreation Center from 6-8 pm, and will include Bingo, prizes, a 50/50 raffle, a short presentation, & mingle and eat.
This event is for business owners or their business representatives and is intended to sign up new members for the Chamber."We are pushing members to submit videos and photos about their products or business in order to compete and stay modern," said Chamber president Bernie Conrique. "Whether we like it or not, we need to keep up. Our younger generations see everything through a 4-inch screen and I’d like our businesses to be part of that."
Chamber membership includes unlimited exposure on the chamber website at mvchamber.com, Conrique said."Our newest board member, Dustin Berg from Mesquite Branding, is in charge of our website," Conrique added. "He will ensure of it."
One goal of the Chamber is to help businesses thrive and to support new business in the Moapa Valley.
Additionally, The Chamber of Commerce is involved in several community events and activities that many people may not be aware of. These include the Moapa Valley Community Wide Yard Sale, Moapa Valley Days, Fourth of July festivities and fireworks, Annual Car Show, Pomegranate Festival, Veteran's Day Parade and other community events.
Anyone who represents a local business is invited to attend the Bingo night event this Friday night for information, food and fun.
