Company will also carry out assembly work as part of the contract

Amper Group subsidiary Nervion Naval Offshore will build components and carry out assembly work for the offshore wind jackets at the 496MW Dieppe le Treport project in France.

The scope of Nervion's work involves the prefabrication of metal components such as nodes, secondary steel and assembly of the jackets to support the wind turbines on the seabed.

The contract was awarded by a joint venture consisting of Navantia Seanergies and Windar, which is manufacturing the jackets for the Dieppe le Treport wind farm's 62 machines.

The project is scheduled to be executed between 2023 and 2025 at the Navantia Fene (A Coruna) facilities.

The contract will see Amper Group increase the workload of Nervion Naval Offshore by 50%, currently employing more than 500 workers, a number that will have to be substantially increased in the near future.

Amper Group chief executive Enrique Lopez said: "In the area of energy and sustainability, we want to be a major player in the design and construction of structures and electrical substations for offshore wind farms, contributing to the creation and leadership of a Spanish business ecosystem that can position itself as a comprehensive global supplier in the construction of offshore wind energy infrastructures."
